This is a supplement to the express conditions and warranties described in the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet. Other coverages are not extended or altered due to this supplement.

Passenger car, light-duty truck, crossover and van owners requiring a more comprehensive coverage than what is provided with the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty are encouraged to consider a Chevrolet Protection Plan. This plan is available through Chevrolet dealerships. For more information, see the Extended Protection section on www.chevrolet.com/owners/warranty.html.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ALTERATIONS AND WARRANTIES. The Chevrolet New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from modifications, installations, or alterations to the original equipment as manufactured or assembled by General Motors. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer or upfitter is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems or assemblies installed by GM. General Motors is not responsible for the safety or quality of design features, materials or workmanship of any alterations by such suppliers.

The Voltec Warranty

In addition to the Bumper-to-Bumper Coverage, General Motors will warrant certain Voltec components for each Chevrolet Volt (hereafter referred to as Voltec) for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first from the original in-service date of the vehicle, against warrantable repairs to the specific Voltec components of the vehicle. For complete details, refer to your Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet.

For Chevrolet Volt owners requiring more comprehensive coverage than that provided under this Voltec warranty, a GM Protection Plan may be available. See your Chevrolet dealer for more details.
What Is Covered

This Voltec warranty covers repairs to correct any Voltec component defect related to materials or workmanship occurring during the 8-year/100,000 mile term for the following:

Like all batteries, the amount of energy that the high-voltage "propulsion" battery can store will decrease with time and miles driven. Depending on use, the battery may degrade as little as 10 percent to as much as 30 percent of capacity over the warranty period. A dealer service technician will determine if the battery energy capacity (kWh storage) is within the proper limit, given the age and mileage of the vehicle. Your Volt battery warranty replacement may not return your vehicle to "as-new" condition, but it will make your Volt fully operational appropriate to its age and mileage.

Other Voltec Components

Other components covered by the Voltec warranty include: high-voltage wiring, Voltec control modules, e-compressor, Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM), Accessory Power Module (APM) and Voltec on-board charger.

Brakes

In addition to the coverages above, the brake modulator assembly is also covered by the 8-year/100,000-mile Voltec warranty.

Electric Drive Unit

A number of electric drive unit assembly and internal components are covered by the Voltec warranty, including the auxiliary fluid pump, auxiliary pump controller, and 3-phase cables.

Towing

During the 8-year /100,000-mile Voltec warranty period, towing is covered to the nearest Chevrolet servicing dealer if your vehicle cannot be driven because of a warranted Voltec-specific defect. Contact the Chevrolet Roadside Assistance Center for towing. Refer to the Owner's Manual for details.

For complete details, refer to your Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet.

Plans referenced in this offer are not contracts of insurance; they are vehicle service contracts (except in AK, CA and NJ, where the plans are sold as mechanical breakdown insurance; which is not the same as bodily injury/property damage liability automobile insurance that may be required by your state). Information provided in this offer is for illustration/summary purposes only. Terms and conditions apply; be sure to read the Schedule of Coverages, Provisions and Exclusions sections of the vehicle service contract so you fully understand what coverage you and your vehicle are eligible for. Vehicle service contract coverage is provided and administered by AMT Warranty Corp. (except in Florida, the vehicle service contract obligor/provider and administrator is Wesco Insurance Company, 59 Maiden Lane, 43rd Floor, New York, NY 10038, (866) 327-5818, LICENSE #01913). These plans are marketed by an AMT Warranty Corp. subsidiary. AMT Warranty Corp. and Wesco Insurance Company are not affiliated with any manufacturer or dealership.

Roadside Assistance Services are provided by Nation Safe Drivers, 800 Yamato Rd. Suite 100, Boca Raton, Florida 33431 (except as otherwise noted for your state in the terms and conditions).

In addition to the Bumper-to-Bumper coverage described previously, General Motors will warrant certain Hybrid components for each Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid and Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid (hereafter referred to as Hybrid) for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the original in-service date of the vehicle, against warrantable repairs to the specific Hybrid components of the vehicle. For Hybrid owners requiring more comprehensive coverage than that provided under this Hybrid warranty, a GM Protection Plan may be available. See your Chevrolet dealer for more details.
What Is Covered

This Hybrid warranty covers repairs to correct any Hybrid component defect related to materials or workmanship occurring during the 8-year/100,000-mile term for the following:

Transmission

Hybrid transmission assembly and internal components, including the transmission auxiliary fluid pump, transmission auxiliary pump controller, and three-phase transmission cables.

Brakes

The brake modulator assembly is covered by the 8-year/100,000-mile warranty.

Towing

During the 8-year/100,000-mile Hybrid warranty period, towing is covered to the nearest Chevrolet servicing dealer if your vehicle cannot be driven because of a warranted Hybrid-specific defect. Contact the Chevrolet Roadside Assistance Center for towing. Refer to the Owner's Manual for details.

Other Hybrid Components

The Hybrid battery and the 300-volt electrical system including hybrid high voltage wiring, hybrid control modules, Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM) and the Accessory Power Module (APM), are covered under this warranty.
What Is Not Covered

In addition to what is not covered by the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty, there are a few additional items that are not covered by the Hybrid warranty, including wear-items such as brake linings or regular maintenance. What is Chevrolet 2-Yr Maintenance?

Chevrolet 2-Year Scheduled Maintenance coverage is included with the purchase or lease of new 2014 Chevrolet models.

Chevrolet 2-Year Scheduled Maintenance includes only the following:

2-year/24,000-mile Scheduled Maintenance (whichever comes first; up to a total of four service events):
ACDelco dexos1®Oil and ACDelco Oil Filter Change (excludes Spark EV)
4-wheel Tire Rotation (excludes dual rear wheel vehicles, all Corvette models and select Camaro models - ZL1 model and 1LE package cars - due to their unidirectional tires; see Owner's Manual for details)
    27-Point Vehicle Inspection (MPVI)

What does the bumper-to-bumper warranty cover?

The Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty covers most GM vehicles registered in the U.S. and Canada from the date the vehicle is first delivered until it reaches 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first, see dealer for details). It covers the vehicle from bumper to bumper on any vehicle defect related to materials or workmanship. Original tires are covered but prorated after 12,000 miles during the terms of the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty. For further details, look in the Owner's Manual under "What Is Covered" and "What Is Not Covered."

What is the difference between the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and the 100,000 mile/5-year Powertrain warranty?

The New-Vehicle Limited Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty on new Chevrolet cars and light-duty trucks remains in effect for 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first, see dealer for details). The powertrain limited warranty supplements the Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty and, in general, continues to cover the engine, transmission, transfer case and axle assemblies on light-duty vehicles up to the 5 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first, see dealer for details) from the vehicle's in-service date.

Is my vehicle covered from rust, too?

GM vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust-through corrosion for a minimum of 6 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your GM dealer for terms of this limited warranty.

Does Chevrolet offer or endorse any service contracts for new or used vehicles?

Yes. Chevrolet Protection Plan (CPP) vehicle service and maintenance contracts are the only products endorsed by GM and are available through GM dealers.

What is Roadside Assistance?

GM has a Roadside Assistance program to aid owners during an emergency and with other services. It is a complimentary service that comes with each new GM vehicle. Services provided include:

    24-hour, 7-days-a-week toll-free phone assistance
Towing to the closest GM divisional dealer (from a legal roadway)
Flat-tire change (using vehicle's spare or tire inflator kit)
    Battery jump-start
Vehicle unlock service (costs for a new key and the labor to create not covered)
Trip interruption assistance (coverage varies by brand)
Trip routing (coverage varies by brand)
Emergency fuel delivery (up to $5.00 worth)

How do I contact Roadside Assistance?

If your GM vehicle is equipped with an active OnStar subscription you can simply press the blue button for Roadside Assistance. If it is not equipped with OnStar, please call 800.243.8872 to initiate Roadside Assistance for your vehicle:

How long is my vehicle covered by Roadside Assistance?

Roadside Assistance is included for 5 years/100,000 miles on 2007 and newer GM models.

Are there any costs to me for using Roadside Assistance?

There is generally no charge for any of the services listed under "What is Roadside Assistance?" while the vehicle is covered by the complimentary Roadside Assistance service. However, additional charges may be incurred for some services, including towing the vehicle beyond the closest GM dealer, for non-warranty parts and labor, or lost key replacements. Additional Warranty information

As you can see, Chevrolet has you covered with our Bumper-to-Bumper Limited warranty. Below you will find a few additional warranties that may apply to your vehicle.

Accessory Coverage

Most GM Parts and Accessories sold and permanently installed on a GM vehicle by a GM dealer or GM-approved Accessory Distributor/Installer (ADI) prior to delivery will be covered under the applicable portion (Bumper-to-Bumper, Powertrain, etc.) of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. In the event GM Accessories are installed after vehicle delivery or are replaced under the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty, they will be covered, parts and labor, for the balance of the applicable portion of the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty, but in no event less than 12 months/12,000 miles. GM Accessories sold over the counter or those not requiring installation, will continue to receive the standard GM Dealer Parts Warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase, parts only. GM Licensed Accessories and Integrated Business Partners (IBP) are covered under the accessory-specific manufacturer's warranty and are not warranted by GM or its dealers.

Original Equipment Alterations

This warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from modification or alteration to the vehicle's original equipment as manufactured or assembled by General Motors. Examples of the types of alterations that would not be covered include cutting, welding, or disconnecting of the vehicle's original equipment parts and components.

Recreation Vehicle and Special Body or Equipment Alterations

Installations or alterations to the original equipment vehicle or chassis, as manufactured and assembled by GM, are not covered by this warranty. The special body company, assembler, or equipment installer is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations to any of the parts, components, systems, or assemblies installed by GM. Examples include, but are not limited to, special body installations such as recreational vehicles; the installation of any non-GM part; cutting, welding, or the disconnecting of original equipment vehicle or chassis parts and components; extension of the wheelbase; suspension and driveline modifications; and axle additions.
Emissions Warranties

There are a number of Federal and California emissions warranties that apply to the proper functioning of your Chevrolet. See your Chevrolet dealer or refer to your Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet for more about these various warranties.

Noise Emissions Warranty
(Light-Duty Trucks Over 10,000 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)

This warranty covers this vehicle as designed, built, and equipped by GM, and is not limited to any particular part, component, or system of the vehicle manufactured by GM. Defects in design or assembly, or in any part, component, or vehicle system as manufactured by GM, which, at the time it left GM's control, caused noise emissions to exceed Federal Standards, are covered by this warranty for the life of the vehicle.
